We are the Heart of God, Responding, as Jesus Christ Covers Us All

To all members present in service on Sunday, March 16, 2014 and to all who have come into knowledge about what happened, please read the following from our Senior Pastor and leaders.

“Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others].” 1 Peter 4:8 Amplified Bible (AMP)

How do we respond to offenses, violations, and brokenness that come to us, perhaps toward us? How do we recognize and respond to the adversary’s attack against us, to offend the pure in heart, violate and distract our worship, and exploit the brokenness of hurting ppl through strife and physical conflict?

We are the Heart of God responding, prayerfully, as Christ would: in compassion and care, covering every1one in His Body of Christ Church, every member in particular, personally, publicly, and protecting all ppl (spelling symbolic of seeing “people” differently).

As the Ministry Leadership Team, we are thankful that our family of faith has come closer together, being strong and courageous. One leader wisely lifted our attention that as family, we cover one another in love; even those hurting, witnessing, or involved. Family members do not expose or perpetuate offenses. As Proverbs 10:12 explains, “Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.”

So we would like to share how we at bcc, the Heart of God, are responding, as Jesus Covers us all.

We are responding to lives with compassion, and by demonstrating mercy,
as led and required by Jesus. “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8. Our necessary response is to cover the sins of those who, because of brokenness and hurt, offended and violated BCC through exposed conflict.

We believe that all of bcc has the opportunity to steer hearts from offense, confusion, disgust, uncertainty, or fear to recognizing God’s desire for bcc to heal and help others who need Christ’s abundant life.

We are responding by serving the ppl involved.
BCC, your pastors, elders, and a deaconess have ministered directly to the souls and families involved from Sunday evening to now. Through us, the heart of God has afforded tangible care and covering, assisting with every step in relationship, recovery, and restoration. Please understand that our response continues the work of our ministers and leaders who were already reaching out to all involved long before Sunday.

We are responding with a spiritual covering of prayer. We assert that we exist in two worlds, natural and supernatural, visible and invisible, of this world and spiritual. We believe most things exist in the spiritual before becoming into the natural, and that our first line of peace and victory is an overcoming faith in-Christ Jesus. As spoken on Sunday, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

Some of our leaders have taken on a prayer warfare to repair any spiritual walls of defense that may have been breached.  We are likewise elevating our prayer and altar call teams ministry’s call to intercession in these areas, powerfully covering the body.

We are responding by setting protection in place. The Board of Directors and Ministry Leadership Team Staff have labored with the Lord to represent the sentiments and concerns of the body.  Pastors and leaders are preparing for safety in our worship experience by arranging, anticipating, and planning attendance of Sunday service. We are also setting ppl in place to minister to the body by physical and spiritual preparation for quick response to any occurrence. We invite any member who desires a personal update on how we are caring for you and your family to please contact our pastors or staff.

We, the Heart of God, are responding as Christ by leading this conversation in and outside our community, hoping it is helpful. Jesus Christ Covers us All and Creates far more Blessings than we can see.  Ppl still sense how real Jesus’ Heartbeat and Pulse of HIS Presence is in our bcc midst. Embracing our weakness deepens our Christ’s Strength, made Perfect and Complete.
