Board of Directors

Provides oversight, governance, and accountability for the church’s mission and resources. Ensures that long-term strategy and stewardship are in alignment with BCC’s vision, values, and Spirit-led, Free in Christ, Hospitable, and Multiethnic mission, maintaining transparency and faithfulness in all decisions.

Ministry Leadership Team & Staff

Oversees daily church operations, leadership development, and ministry programs. This team models team-based, servant leadership to equip others, coordinate ministries, and nurture the diverse congregation to embody the Heart of God locally and globally.

GSI | Worship Team

Originated from BCC’s founding worship group, the Gospel Soul Innovators. This team leads praise and worship through music and free expression of the Holy Spirit, inviting all to authentically experience God’s presence here on earth through song, and reflecting BCC’s intentionally multiethnic heritage.

Digital Media Ministry

Guided by creative storytelling, this team manages livestreams, video, photography, and online church. Their work amplifies BCC’s message and worship, extending connection and spreading the gospel into the digital world.

Art and Decor Ministry

Spirit-led artists create art for church and decorate the church environments and events through original, prayerful creativity that seeks the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Their visual art is crafted and placed with discernment, enriching BCC’s worship spaces and gatherings by nurturing a hospitable welcome and inspiration that invites God’s presence and movement.

Audio Production

Provides sound reinforcement and creative audio support for worship and ministry events. Ensures clarity and impact, facilitating powerful, Spirit-led experiences for in-person and remote participants.

Concierge Services

Welcomes all with information, directions, and support. Facilitates smooth transitions for guests and regular attenders, embodying BCC’s value of 5-star hospitality.

Brics (Young Adults)

Building Relationships in Christ Soteria: Fosters authentic community among young adults. Provides space for spiritual growth, connection, and engaging in BCC’s multiethnic, Christ-focused vision. View our Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brics_isu/

Children & Youth Ministry

Our mission is to cultivate a generation of godly children in partnership with families. According to Christianity Today the ages of 4 to 14 are critical to healthy spiritual growth. Christ is actively working in the lives of our children!

Nursery (6mo- 2 yrs)
The nursery is located adjacent to the toddler room on the South side of the building. We seek to provide a safe and comfortable environment for infants. Parents are welcome to stay with their babies and there is an area for moms who nurse as well.

Pre-K (2yrs-5yrs)
This group meets adjacent to the bathrooms on the South side of the building. Children have the opportunity to enjoy a fun environment through play, snack time, crafts, and lessons for nurturing their faith in Christ.

School Age (K-5th)
Elementary school-age children may be checked in at the BCC lobby and will be dismissed during service to Myriad MMA Academy (417 Duff Ave, Ames, IA 50010). Children will walk over and are accompanied by adults at all times. At the end of service parents use the check-in tag to pick up their child from the second floor of the octagon. At Myriad MMA Academy, students meet in a large group with music and a lesson followed by small group time which includes snacks and games.

YoBCC (Youth 6th-12th)
Our mission is to build Christ-centered relationships with our middle and high school students, teach/encourage them to live every aspect of life in Christ, and just enjoy life with them.

YoBCC meets the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Sundays of the month and the students serve in their chosen ministries on the 4th or 5th Sunday of the month. They will meet at Morning Bell Coffee (111 Main St #101, Ames, IA 50010). They arrive back at BCC before service ends. 

Welcome Team

Offers authentic, loving greetings and connection to each person entering BCC. Helps everyone feel seen, valued, and at home, reflecting BCC’s call to hospitality and unity.

MPACT | Prayer Team

Faithfully intercedes for the church, local community, and global needs. Practices Spirit-led, consistent prayer to seek God’s heart and blessing for all.

Spanish Ministry

Offers worship, discipleship, and community in Spanish to serve Hispanic/Latino members, and strengthens cross-cultural unity in the wider church.

Jail Ministry

Ministers to those in correctional facilities through discipleship, hope, and the love of Christ. Supports transformation and healing, embodying God’s mercy to all.

Security Team

Maintains safety and security for the church family, property, and events. Acts with vigilance and compassion, allowing BCC’s ministries to flourish safely.
